My name is Jessica, I always found strange the fact that when we introduce ourselves we tend to say what we do for a living as part of who we are, it's almost like it's part of our names: “Hi! I am Jess, I am a Jungian Psychoanalyst".
The mandatory second question at every party, after asking your name: "And what do you do?".
Yes, I am a Psychotherapist indeed, but I am many other things. I am determined, intense, analytical, independent, volatile, and passionate.
I have a hard time being quiet and not doing anything, I do many things, I am like that rabbit in Alice in Wonderland running after time - but ginger, and on fire. I always have a new hobby or activity to try - analogue cameras, ceramic, candle making, acrylic pouring, name a Pinterest project and I probably tried it already.
I am fascinated with themes like Reality & Consciousness, Time, Synchronicity, Greek Mythology, Astrology, Psychedelic Healing, Mushrooms, Sacred Feminine, The Dark Goddess, The power of Fairy Tales, The Universe, The Multiverse and of course, Jungian Psychology. My work has a profound influence of authors like Joseph Campbell, Terrence McKenna, Marion Woodman, Clarissa Pinkola Estes, M. Louise Von Franz, Hillman and others.
And you? Who are you, without telling me what your job is?
Perhaps that's the reason why you are here... to understand better the question of "Who are you?" or who you could become, and I can tell you that this is what I love the MOST: To see people becoming what they were always meant to be.
Initially, I started my BSc in Psychology at the Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie in Brazil, but after a turnaround in my life, I moved to the UK to continue my studies here in London. Some could say it was a Spiritual Experience or a calling from the Universe, but I knew inherently somehow knew I had to be here. I went on to complete my Clinical Practice in Psychodynamic Therapy at SAP (Society of Analytical Psychology) in London and I am currently doing an MSc in Spirituality, Consciousness and Transpersonal Psychology at The Liverpool John Moores University along with a Clinical Jungian Practice in Lisbon.
Throughout my journey, I've gathered techniques in ways to interpret our worlds, to better understand our earthly experiences, guide us through life and have more understanding of the people around you. Self-knowledge helps us to better understand ourselves, but also gain a profound empathy with the world that surrounds us.
My aim is to help you become whoever you have to be. Whether that work comes through Psychoanalysis, Astrology, Tarot, Shadow work, Dream Interpretation... I am here to receive and translate the message for you.
